Shunya is a survival horror game where you must escape a secret medical facility while uncovering the horrifying truth behind its human experiments. Trapped as Patient #17, you awaken with fragmented memories, pursued by the mysterious Janitor whose sole purpose is to erase every failed subject before they escape.

Search abandoned wards, laboratories, and restricted treatment rooms for key items needed to unlock your path forward while avoiding the Janitor's relentless patrols. Stay out of sight, listen carefully, and use the environment to survive as every patient file and hidden note reveals another piece of the facility's disturbing history.

Explore a claustrophobic research facility inspired by secret medical experiments, filled with abandoned equipment, unsettling patient records, and atmospheric environments designed to keep you constantly on edge. Every corridor hides a new danger, every room tells a forgotten story, and every discovery brings you closer to the truth.

Will you escape the facility... or become another terminated patient?

Hey Vijay
Thanks for playing our game. Means a lot. As the game was made in 10 days as part of a challenge, obviously, there were some issues left unsolved. I saw your video and wanted to address those issues. Firstly, the whole same-name thing is not a bug; it's part of the story (will add an explanation in the later update). Second, and the most annoying one, repeating jumpscares ruins the experience later. Apart from that, no randomness in item drops makes the experience quite repetitive. Don't worry, as I will be working on these issues, and hopefully, you will get a whole new experience with the next release 🫡.

Soo.. I play your game..

Loved the creepy atmosphere at the start, it really pulled me in. After a while it felt more like a jumpscare gallery — I think balancing those with more ambient sounds and letting the environment shine would make it even stronger. Lots of potential here for a really cool mini horror game!

Hey. Saw your video. Firstly, thanks for playing. Means a lot to me and my team.

This game was created in 10 days as part of a small game development challenge, so I already have a sense of the flaws you are referring to. Planning to add a major change in the dynamics of the game in the upcoming update, with some more lore. I hope to see you play it again 😍

I’d definitely play it again once you update it — I can already see the potential. The atmosphere at the start really hooked me. As dev-to-dev, I think polishing the environment would add a lot: some of the jumpy or mismatched textures on the walls take away from the immersion, and fixing those would really let the horror vibe shine.

If the game was in Unreal, I’d gladly lend a hand with environment design — but sadly I don’t know anything about Unity. Still, I’m rooting for your project, and I’ll be excited to see where you take it with lore and the new changes. Keep going, there’s something cool here!
